Do not deign to discuss about testing mobile applications?

There are such people - testers. Extremely needed people. Help improve applications. But they have a passion: everyone is testing. Everywhere are looking for bugs: and in the programs developed by us, and even in the dishes of our dining room. Now they decided to test the events of the CoLaboratory series. And then you never know, and there are some flaws in this public discussion format. As a test scenario, they decided to use the discussion on testing applications on mobile platforms.

During the event, our experts will deliver five reports.

For starters, Anna Karpenko will talk about the functionality, which should be checked on all mobile devices, as well as compare test scripts for mobile and desktop applications. In addition, it will tell success stories. Well, about the feils, too, will tell - where do without them. In particular, about how we once did not fit into the Apple Guidelines or how Google considered the product’s self-defense mechanism for Android, which required authorization to uninstall, as incorrect.



Then Ivan Tsepelev will tell about the evolution of mobile testing tools in Kaspersky Lab. In particular, he will talk about how the APK looks from the inside and why obfustsirovat code, gives examples of the basic Android Debug Bridge (ADB) commands that allow you to work with the emulator and with real devices. Along the way, Ivan will explain what the my.kaspersky.com portal is, how we use it to synchronize user data between the same product on different platforms, and most importantly about the thin spots in testing this solution.



The third will be Dmitry Myachin. It will describe the problems specific to specific versions of the Android system and firmware specific devices. In particular, he promises to talk about:





The next presentation will be about the function of news distribution within the product. Dmitry Bondarenko will tell how the company uses this function, why it is needed at all, and, most importantly, what problems we encountered when testing it, how difficult it was, and why we could not test this function right away.

The last speaker will be Nikita Voronov, who will talk about what Exploratory testing is and why it should be tested by testers. Along the way, he will explain what we mean by the concept of risk, how it is formed, where we take indicators of popularity and criticality of risks, how we build test scripts, where we get information from and how to supplement the testing team.
