Conference OS DAY 2016. Own system - its processor

On June 9-10, the third OS Day conference will be held in Innopolis, dedicated to the creation of operating systems. Russian manufacturers of software and microelectronics will discuss the possibilities of organizing a full cycle of production and development of domestic processor equipment and system software.

The theme of OS DAY 2016: "Your system - your processor" was not chosen by chance. In Russia, many application and system software are being developed, modern microprocessors are being manufactured. However, the issue of building a full stack of domestic technologies has not yet been resolved. Russian processors, as a rule, run imported operating systems, while domestic system software requires foreign-made processors. Even Russian applications are not always adapted for domestic operating system distributions.

The conference organizers plan to pay special attention to the integration of Russian developments and, above all, system software and processors of domestic production. In addition, for the first time on OS DAY, processor manufacturers are expected to speak, as well as reports on what tasks developers of application systems and DBMS set for processors.

The task of OS DAY 2016 is to analyze the experience of partnerships, facilitate the emergence of new integration work and provide the design industry of processors and operating systems with feedback from users.
