Teamviewer user accounts hacked

Tl; dr: many users complain that their accounts are hacked; Teamviewer.com did not work for several hours due to DNS issues.

Over the past few days, a lot of messages from foreign users have appeared that their Teamviewer accounts have been compromised by attackers:

Many users claim that they used 2FA authorization and whitelists, but, nevertheless, someone seized control.

Short of using a white list I did everything teamviewer recommends for securing a computer.

I’m not sure, but I’m not sure if I’ve been on the phone.

Thank you up. I never use chrome so they didn’t get any money. I had to change my password. But they’re not showing up for less than 2 minutes and walking away with nothing.

I cann’t emphasize this moment to remove it. I was very lucky, but most people won't be! It is not worth taking chances!

Support TeamVeiwer assures that there was no leakage:

No security breach. You're experiencing issues in parts of our network. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

The unavailability of the site teamveiwer.com for several hours raised the degree of intensity of user passions. Presumably, the problem was related to DNS servers.

We are back up and running again. However, it may take some time until all services are available.

Hub users also report a problem:

On May 22, at 8 am, somewhere, my wife connected to the computer, got rid of the program for viewing passwords, logged in under my account, because They could not break anything, everywhere almost a confirmation code from a mobile phone, could only enter paypal, registered in some foreign websites of itunes gift cards ... and began to withdraw money by buying them through PayPal ... some were removed, then refusals were sent due to lack of funds ... the tracks did not wipe ... there was nothing suspicious of the software on the wife's computer ... It was the TeamVeiwer that sinned! ... PayPal returned the money quickly, which also suggested a global hacking ... and I think that this news is up to date with PayPal and TeamVeiwer that she comes late ...

On the work computer yesterday they connected and in turn opened / closed the sites paypal, amazon, ebay.
Some of the allegations are quite controversial and even dubious, but, nevertheless, it is worthwhile to exercise extra vigilance and strengthen security measures.
