The company, founded by former employees of
Google , yesterday launched a new search engine -
Cuil . The authors of Cuil claim that it can index the Web faster and at lower cost than Google.

The first difference Cuil from the usual search engines, which catches the eye - an unusual format of delivery, in several columns, with pictures and rubricators. A lot of people tried to use non-standard output before “Kvila”, but,
IMHO , no one managed to do it so clearly.
It’s written on the Cuil main page that it indexes over
121 billion web pages - three times more than Google .

“Cuil” is pronounced “cool” and is derived from the Irish word meaning “knowledge.” According
to TechCrunch , $
33 million has been allocated to finance Cuil. The company consists of 10-15 people.
In general, all this looks very interesting and promising, only the black background of the site is a bit annoying, the inability to understand Russian and the lack of satellite services (mail, RSS readers, etc.), which, however, will certainly follow.
My first post on Habré, I did everything right?
