Confirming the earlier news about the different quality of the displays in the Apple iPhone and iPhone 3G phones, as well as between different batches of the iPhone 3G, iLounge.com published a series of photos showing the difference in quality of the first-generation iPhone screen and two iPhone 3G ). On all three tested phones, the latest version of OS X was installed on iPhone 2.0, and the screen brightness was set to maximum.

In general, the situation with the 16GB model is better, because there is a margin of brightness that can be reduced to an acceptable level. The reason for the difference between the quality of the displays in different models of iPhone 3G is not clear: a defect in one phone, a defect in both models, or such quality variations are now considered the norm in Apple factories?
Most likely Apple in the 8GB and 16GB phones installs different screens. Without comparison "side by side" for us, for buyers, it is not obvious what the quality of the display in a particular model is the same, worse, better or somewhere in the middle.
