Netflix’s attitude to advertising has almost become the hallmark of this video service, Business Insider
reports . Netflix is sure: the smaller the ads, the more subscribers the service will have.
"We know that less advertising is one of the benefits of ecosystems such as Netflix," Howard Schimmel, chief director of
Time Warner Research,
told Bloomberg.
According to him, users have become experienced and quickly find video services, where there is less advertising. And the presence of a large amount of advertising in other services now irritates them.

Given the current situation, some video services and cable TV providers also
began to reduce advertising. Thus, they hoped to return some of the subscribers who had left.
Analysts at CordCutting.com conducted a video streaming market research and found out how much Netflix advertising shows are reduced compared to television.
The number of Netflix subscribers reached 75 million. As Netflix head Reed Hastings has reported, every day subscribers view videos for 125 million hours. This means that each user views daily for 1.66 hours.
According to the marketing company
Nielsen , for 1 hour of airtime cable television accounts for 15 minutes 38 seconds of advertising.
With this data, analysts at CordCutting.com
concluded that the service saves users 158.5 hours of life per year.
This is not the only “feature” of Netflix. In January, the founder and CEO of the American online cinema
said that he had a positive attitude towards the exchange of accounts between users. In his opinion, it’s normal when they exchange passwords and give each other access to accounts. He notes that many people who have used someone else’s account then themselves purchase a paid Netflix subscription.
Netflix online cinema was founded in 1997. He currently works in the United States, Latin America and some European countries. According to Sandvine, in the US, Netflix accounts for 33% of broadband Internet traffic.
In 2016, the service
entered the Russian media market. In Russia, it is available to Smart TV users and owners of some set-top boxes.
