GoTech will select projects for Google
As part of the GoTech contest, a special nomination has appeared for IT projects aimed at the global market and solving the universal problem of users or businesses. Selected projects will receive an invitation to the acceleration program with an expert team of Google and support for development in the international market.
Selection criteria:
The selection program is carried out for the second time. Last year, the winner was the MyDiaspora project - a dating service according to oriental traditions, corresponding to the religious norms of Muslims. The project participated in the Google Launchpad Week acceleration program in January 2016 in Tel Aviv.

GoTech 2016 consists of 2 general nominations: “Successful business” and “Breakthrough technology” and a number of joint programs with partners of the competition. Along with the nomination from Google, the programs for selecting projects from Kaspersky Lab (Next Generation Security), EMC (Big Data & IoT) and the Untitled retail lab (Retail Performance) have already been announced.
Selection criteria:
- a growing industry where rapid scaling is possible: SaaS in B2C or B2B, games, dating, travel, education and others;
- global market: the project should be focused on a large international market and have a global promotion strategy;
- solving a universal problem of users or business, that is, a problem that is not tied to a specific geographic location and infrastructure;
- team with entrepreneurial competencies.
- Applications are accepted on the website www.gotech.vc . Finalists will be invited to a meeting with the Google expert team on the GoToMarket forum on October 6th. Based on the results of the meetings, participants in the acceleration program will be selected.
