Apple appealed to the Moscow Arbitration Court with claims to two online stores

The American company in a court of law requires two Russian online stores selling its equipment to stop using Apple Inc. trademarks. - The amount of claims is 16 million rubles.

At the heart of the claims is the entire range of devices manufactured by the company. The respondent in the first lawsuit for 7.2 million rubles is LLC Riona Plus (up-house), in the second, 9 million rubles: LLC Computer and LLC Ivanhoe, representing one owner of the online store Cplaza, RBC reports .

Pavel Sukhachev, who owns the last mentioned companies and an online store, according to him, has not yet seen a lawsuit from the company, but in the fall of 2015, he received a claim from international lawyers from Baker & McKenzie that the administrator of his domain names violated the exclusive rights to trademarks signs of an American corporation, including a graphic image of an apple.

The publication also managed to get the opinion of Eldar Murtazin, a leading analyst at Mobile Research Group, who said that “Apple needs to load lawyers with work, therefore the company filed lawsuits against small firms.”
