The concept of modern app stores or products is based on consumer confidence and appreciation. Therefore, cases with the purchase of reviews are typical not only for Russian projects, as recently happened with Carprice, but also for foreign ones. For example, Amazon is actively continuing to fight fake reviews in its own app stores — the company recently filed a lawsuit against five websites that offer representatives of various business areas to purchase fake reviews in various sections of their own stores.
Three people are involved in the case - Chris Embry from Amazonverifiedreviews.com, Jane John-Nvanko from Paidbookreviews.org, and John Douz from Amazonreviewstar.com, Buyamazonreviews.info and reviewconnections.com.

All of these sites offer services for acquiring reviews in Amazon stores, which directly contradicts the policy of using the service. For Amazon, paid reviews pose a direct threat to the existence of the store - since the moment they were founded in 1995, reviews have played a key role for users. Thanks to honest reviews, the store system is especially valuable for users, allowing you to sift out bad offers.
In October last year, Amazon has already sued several users who were engaged in advertising the provision of paid reviews. Of course, Amazon is not going to create additional bidders with such a step - on the contrary, the company is trying to create an atmosphere in the market of paid reviews, which will warn everyone about the potential consequences of using this type of advertising.
“Despite the fact that I cannot comment on a specific lawsuit, I can share information that since the beginning of 2015, our company has filed lawsuits against more than 1,000 defendants. Thanks to this, we were able to obtain the information necessary for an extended ban on certain merchants and users who potentially create a demand for paid reviews, ”an Amazon representative told TechCrunch.
Other companies have resorted to the market for reviews of similar tools. For example, Apple can likewise remove an application from the App Store if store moderators learn about acquiring false reviews.
