I put this note in this blog, because I continue to believe that SaaS together with "social sphere" are the two main components of what is commonly called Web 2.0, and Enterprise 2.0 (blog theme) is one of the most important Web 2.0 applications, which most obviously combine the possibilities of these two (“social” and SaaS) components.I recently came across an interesting
post . It tells about the new initiative of Microsoft in the Russian market. This corporation jointly (further quote) ...
... with the operator Sinterra and the hosting provider Infobox began to promote application rental services in Russia as part of the software as a service program. Russian companies are offered to rent various software - from the Windows operating system to complex software solutions, such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM and the organization of a virtual office on a remote server. In addition, Infobox has formed a number of package offers based on Microsoft software and its own hosting services.
First, I can not fail to note that my
prediction once again is confirmed that Microsoft largely links its future with SaaS. In its terminology, it is Software + Service. In fashionable sounding - this is cloud computing (computing in the clouds). But this is not the point now, although sometime later I will try to return to the question of
what unites and what separates these three concepts .
')
Secondly, I am very pleased that, in the person of Microsoft’s partner companies, this project still found entrepreneurs in Russia, who by their practical actions made the call meaningless, which the host of one of the most popular Habrawa blogs
addressed me not so long ago "
My business ":
Anatoly! I beg you, I beg you, I am practically kneeling - forget, for the sake of her, foreign practice! ( highlighted by the author of the comment - A.M.) Well, it will never work out in our country, where inflation is 50 times higher, and the refinancing rate is 5-7 times.
And I, as a Russian company manager, do not care deeply how many are there, who overseas allotted and for what, and who plans to earn millions from this, believe me!
It is possible 10 times, as in prayer, to repeat the SaaS, but still, the Russian leading developer will forget to check the site at Opera, because he is tired and he is paid little.
I can’t say anything more about the author of this passionate appeal. But recently I had to break off all relations with one Muscovite, in which sour patriotism and hatred of “eternally rotting” America miraculously combined with the unceremonious theft of software products of American firms and Russian, half consisting of English cripples.
Whether or not apologists of the uniqueness of the Russian market like or not like my Muscovite want it, but with reference to SaaS (computing in the
clouds ), with all their ideologies, they confirm the well-known phrase “Born to crawl cannot fly”. Indeed, what kind of "
clouds " in Russia can we then talk about?
And, nevertheless, Microsoft and its Russian partners took the risk. And at least it means something. We wish them a good flight!
