Institute for Internet Development forms an expert platform for the exchange of views

The Institute for the Development of the Internet (IRI) became a co-owner of the online publication TheRunet.com . The Islamic Republic of Iran will present experts, competencies, and admission to various events to the publication.

Initially, the founders of the Russian Association of Electronic Communications ( RAEC ), Sergey Plugotarenko and Sergey Grebennikov, created the Runet Media Holding company in December 2011, Izvestia writes .
According to the register, they own equal shares in it until now. In October 2012, Runet Media Holding registered online media TheRunet.com. On February 1, 2016, a new company, Runet Media, was registered, the ownership of which was transferred to TheRunet. According to the register, 40% owned by Runet Media Holding, 60% - Iran.
Sergei Grebennikov confirmed that the transaction is a pure barter. They simply transferred part of the shares of the publication in the hands of Iran.

“The project needs to move forward, Iran is an excellent platform and partner for the development of the project. TheRunet will continue to be a platform for the Internet, but with advanced features, ”he notes.
TheRunet.com specializes in internet-related news. Until 2011, the media worked for an English-speaking and German-speaking audience, the magazine was published in English and German. Now the publication is focused on the Russian-speaking audience. The media publishes news, expert and analytical notes, infographics and special projects.
“This is not exactly media. This is a place for the concentration of expert opinions. At least, I would like to see this story, ” said German Klimenko to Firrma.

However, last week, the IRI managed to “concentrate” the opinions of experts without using any platform. On the agenda was the introduction of VAT ( "tax on Google" ) for IT companies.

58% of respondents consider it necessary to change the rules of taxation of IT companies, only 30% of respondents spoke against it. 75% of experts are not against creating equal conditions for Russian and international IT companies.

But without amending the bill does not suit 62% of respondents. 79% of Iranian experts consider it necessary to work out additional benefits for IT companies, while 21% of those who took part in the survey did not share this point of view.
