Apple's mysterious "transition"

Apple's quarterly earnings report is , of course, interesting, but it seems that very few people in Russia noticed that the Apple director’s financial director announced that the company's profits would not increase in the fall, but on the contrary, decrease.

How so? Why? While it is known that this transition will concern some of the Apple products and will have to help the company in the fight against competitors. What is he like? Here the person names several possible and impossible options. Among them: the new iPod Touch (no, fight with competitors is unlikely to help), killing the iPod Classic or combining it with the Touch in some way, Mac OS X for the PC (how? For example, to make it so that it can only be launched from ipod) and AMD instead of Intel (why?).

But to me, another scenario seems more likely. Apple completely updates its product line by releasing new MacBook Pros, destroying plastic MacBooks and replacing them with Air. At the same time, the prices on them are greatly reduced and a black Air appears (if you remember, once, even before the release of this ultra-thin laptop, it is rumored that a test sample of black color was noticed in Cupertino). Maybe finally eliminate the Mini (does not fit into the new design). In my opinion, not bad. I would buy myself an Air for the price of a macbook with great pleasure :).
