
This week, the national payment card system (NSPK)
published its statements for 2015 - this year the service of Visa and MasterCard began as an operating and clearing center hired to handle domestic Russian transactions.
In total, the total service of all Visa and MasterCard traffic brought NSPK about 2.8 billion, while the payment systems should owe 500 million rubles. Last year, payment processing on the NPC side began in May for Visa and by the end of April for MacterCard. This means that in 2016 NSPK profits will be much higher, but do not forget about other players. This year, such companies as JCB, China Union Pay and American Express will be transferred to NSPK. The share of payments that go through with their use in the domestic market is minimal, but it will still increase the company's revenue.

Less profitable was the direction of the payment system "World", which brought only 16 million rubles. with expenses in the amount of 10 million. Total expenses for maintaining the operations of the clearing center amounted to 900 million rubles, together with 735 million for management issues.
At the same time, the net profit of NSPK for 2015 amounted to 1.2 billion rubles - for the year the company showed a significant increase in comparison with 90 million losses for 2014.
The Mir system
received mixed reviews from many users after the publication of conditions last fall. Basically, criticism was voiced by banks, which turned out to be dissatisfied with the low commission for making money transfers - in the region of 0.5% in trading networks with a large turnover. For ordinary banks and acquiring banks, the issue and maintenance of such cards is economically unprofitable, which reduces interest in the Mir system as a whole. Nevertheless, Mirbank engaged in the issuance of plastic cards was Gazprombank, MDM Bank, Moscow Industrial Bank, Svyaz-Bank, RNKB, Russia and SMP Bank. The first clients were employees of banks directly involved in the development of the Mir system.
