Safe Internet Day celebrated in Europe
Today, February 6, Europe is hosting the Day of Safe Internet. The purpose of the events dedicated to it is to clarify what threats lurk on the network the younger generation, reports RIA Novosti .
Experts from the European Commission are confident that children and adolescents are not protected from negative information on the Internet in any way - it is easier for them to deal with it. So, according to statistics, about 90% of children found pornography on the Web, and in 65% of cases - after targeted searches. 44% of minors who were online were sexually harassed there.
This year, public attention will be drawn to the danger of children using mobile devices, whose effects on the body have not yet been fully studied. However, in Germany, for example, back in 2005, 92% of adolescents aged 12–19 years and 47% of children 9–12 years old had mobiles.
