Identify and distribute new Community Manager roles based on the report of The Community Roundtable team.
The Community Team Roundtable has released a Community Manager Salary Survey report. This study is about those people who organize intra-corporate communications in companies, and also supervise client or partner external communities. ')
Below we provide the Russified infographics of this report. Check out some interesting facts:
The study identified three roles: 1) the manager who manages the community 2) the strategist who plans community development and 3) the director who is the business customer of the community. In Russia, I would single out two roles: the director of the community and the manager of the community, who is also often the internal communicator in the company.
The topic of external communities is very popular in world practice, but so far not very popular with us. For example, MTS and Beeline have their corporate social networks, but they do not have external client communities. The maximum of what is used now is in FB groups or executive blogs.
Most community management professionals find jobs by acquaintance. A good example, a couple of months ago, Microsoft fired several dozen customer success managers, that is, people who help customers implement the Yammer corporate social network. So Microsoft clients in Linkedin organized a campaign for their employment.
