Badoo bought startup Lulu, which allows girls to set up secret ratings for men

Badoo, the largest dating site with an audience of more than 300 million users from 190 countries, absorbed the American Lulu app created by Alexandra Chong (pictured) in 2011. It is reported by BI with reference to the founder.

The essence of Lulu is the secret ratings (on a scale from 0 to 10) for men, which women discuss in the course of short quests and puzzles (sexual qualities, appearance, and so on) compiled by hashtags. The company claims that more than half of the users participate in such discussions; in the application, you can also exchange messages.

The application was launched in the USA in 2013 and now, according to Ms. Chong, it is used by every fourth woman in college (including faculty).

Badoo was founded in London in 2006 by Andrei Andreev, who previously created SpyLog, Runner and, finally, Mambu, later bought out by FINAM and the Mail.ru Group. Now Badoo has 60 million active users, the average spends 1.8 hours in the application or on the website.

Under the terms of the deal, Lulu employees will be transferred to Badoo, and Alexandra herself will become president of the company.
