Last week, German Klimenko spoke on the issue of the prosecution of "pirates" in the vast runet. When the authorities, it would seem, drove them into a corner, the new adviser suggested letting them “live” at least until the end of the economic crisis.
He explained this by the fact that there is no need to annoy the ordinary Internet users. After all, they will lose their priceless (read: free) collections of films, music, books and other illegally distributed content.
But now, thanks to attentive “well-wishers” with a keen sense of justice, Russia has learned curious facts that run counter to the bright image of the “fighter for the development of Internet initiatives”:
')
• "Pirate" torrent tracker
Torrnado.ru advertised on the title page of Liveinternet;
• Domain Torrnado.ru belongs to OOO ECO PC - Complex Solutions, in SPARK-Interfax it appears that OOO ECO-PC-Complex Solutions belongs to Alevtina Yakobson;
• In 2015, Roskomnadzor registered Mediametrics TV channel, affiliated with the Mediametrics service, German Klimenko;
• MediaMetrics was founded by LLC “ESO RS-Complex Solutions”;
• Owner of 100% of the company - Alevtina Yakobson;
• According to German Klimenko, quoted by Firrma as a resource, Jacobson is his “old employee”.
Based on these facts, Vedomosti, not without the help of the "well-wishers", concludes that Hermann Klimenko owns the above-mentioned tracker. Torrnado.ru offers users illegal video content. Anonymous interlocutors "Vedomosti" claim that sometime after January 4, 2016, Hermann Klimenko handed Torrnado to his son - Yuri Klimenko.
Klimenko Sr. went away from a direct answer to the question of whether the Torrnado.ru resource belongs to him, and did not answer questions related to the legality of the content on this resource. However, in one of his posts on Facebook, he admitted that he “never denied” his involvement in Torrnado, according to Vedomosti.
Naturally, after the appointment of presidential adviser on the Internet, German Klimenko attracted public attention. It can be said, under the magnifying glass of thoughtful "well-wishers." It is clear that interesting facts about his business and past achievements have been revealed. It turned out that the first big money Klimenko
earned on MMM.
The problem is that the president took him by surprise with his proposal. Apparently, the newly-minted adviser simply did not have time to cover his tracks and join the ranks of government officials with a “crystal clear” reputation,
rewriting all (dubious and not-so) businesses for relatives and “old employees”. As a result, they told him where they should go, and even where they shouldn't.
