TakeIt offers the market an “interesting formula for how to save and optimize taxi costs,” Pavel Varzumov explained the reason for his participation as an investor. TakeIt is still quite young, but now investors have decided to invest in it an unusually large amount by the standards of the Russian venture capital market. “After all, money is not invested specifically in the company, but in the people who head it. We have faith in this particular team, ”Varzumov told Rusbase.

The TakeIt service was launched on July 27, 2015. The company combines a classic taxi (its own cars, its own taxi fleet) and a taxi service (order transfer to a free driver).

The company’s fleet now has 1,200 TakeIt-owned cars and 300 attracted drivers. About a month ago, due to large debts, the Izmailovo Moscow taxi station passed under the management of the company.

According to a company representative, TakeIt differs from its competitors ( Uber , Gett , Yandex.Taxi ) in that it owns the vehicles involved and offers relatively low tariffs. The company’s website even provides a table where TakeIt fares are compared with other taxi service rates.

Now the service works mainly in Russia. According to Varzumov, TakeIt is also going to enter foreign markets. Expansion will begin with European countries. At the moment, contracts with some foreign counterparties have already been concluded - in particular, about transfers from airports in France.

The company plans to launch its own taxi booking application at the end of January.
