The system of secondary vocational education in Russia in the coming years will be improved. This is evidenced by a significant set of measures aimed at improving the system of secondary vocational education for 2015–2020, approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 349-p of 03.03. 2015
One of the first steps in this direction was the approval of the list of the 50 most demanded in the labor market, new and promising professions requiring secondary vocational education:

This list was approved by Order No. 831 of the Ministry of Labor of Russia of November 2, 2015 and will be used to develop and update professional standards, federal state educational standards and educational programs.
The developers of the list reviewed 1620 professions, polled more than 13.3 thousand organizations. Professions from the list of the top 50 are divided into several groups. More than half of the professions belong to the category of working specialties, affecting the entire production cycle - from operators and assemblers to quality control technicians, such as: an equipment maintenance technician, an operator of program-controlled machine tools, an electronic systems assembler, a welder, a specialist instrumentation and automation, specialist in technical quality control of products, a specialist in mechanical engineering technology, a specialist in refrigeration and ventilation technology, automatic technician process control systems, turner-universal, milling-universal, electrician and others.
Also, IT specialists are very much needed: a database administrator, a programmer, a developer of web and multimedia applications, a network and system administrator, an information resource specialist, an information systems specialist, a telecommunications service specialist, and an information security technician.
Particularly noteworthy are specialties related to automotive technology and car repairs (auto mechanic, specialist in the maintenance and repair of automotive engines).
It is planned that for the above-mentioned professions requiring an ACT, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation will introduce new effective forms and standards for the training of workers in the regions.
