Google continues to collaborate with the Berlin co-working center Factory

American Internet Corporation announced the continuation of joint work with a popular business center for start-ups, located in the German capital. In particular, Factory is known for having European offices of such popular companies from Uber and Twitter from Silicon Valley in the building.

Officially, the terms of the partnership were not disclosed, but, as The Business Insider reports , the cooperation will be developed according to the proven scenario used by the parties in 2012. Then Factory received about 1 million euros of funding from Google for further growth of the project, which were evenly distributed over three years. It must be assumed that the results of the investment and the plan for the development of the co-working center staged an American Internet giant, and the other day the partners signed a new agreement on similar conditions.

It is assumed that investments from Google will be used for various events of the start-up community, as well as organizing access for entrepreneurs working in the co-working center of the Factory to various services of the corporation, including the Google Cloud Platform. In an official statement, the head of the new products division of Google, Jens Redmer (Jens Redmer), called Factory “a community of great innovators representing the new and old economy”, and suggested that 2016 will be “exciting”.

The co-working center for start-ups was founded in 2011 by the current CEO of the company, Udo Schlome (Udo Schloeme). The building now houses 800 different companies, including SoundCloud music streaming, the popular ZenDesk customer service platform and the Mozilla Foundation project. Now the Berlin Open Space has become the official partner of the Google Startup Program (Google for Entrepreneurs Tech Hub Partner), joining other similar centers around the world. Experts say that with the signing of the new agreement, the Factory will increasingly look like the famous London coworking center East London Tech City, with which Google has been actively cooperating for a long time.
