It seems that gaming console manufacturers can start worrying. As recent events show, the iPhone is quite capable of becoming a very popular platform for mobile gaming and a serious competition to the same Nintendo DS.
The iPhone has become
one of the most discussed topics at the recent E3 game show. And this is despite the fact that Apple did not even nominally participate in this exhibition. However, a number of well-known developers and publishers have announced the release of games for the iPhone.
For example, the leaders of Electronics Arts
announced that they are working on porting the God of Spore simulator to the iPhone platform (this game promises to be a real hit after its release in September), Tiger Woods golf simulator and Need For Speed racing simulator.

Sega has released
