Yandex.Money became the first payment service in Russia, which was able to work directly without intermediaries with the international payment system MasterCard. The company's license equalized Yandex.Money in the MasterCard system with seventy of the largest Russian banks.

Yandex.Money has been involved in card products since 2012 in cooperation with Tinkoff Bank. The service has produced four hundred thousand plastic and ten million virtual cards. From February 2016, the service will issue only its own plastic cards.
The card balance will be equal to the Yandex.Koshelka balance. The company will be the first to issue World MasterCard cards offering various benefits, including discounts at restaurants, theaters, museums and shops.
Yandex.Money is 25% plus 1 ruble owned by Yandex, 75% minus one ruble by Sberbank. The company's net profit in 2014 was 98.8 million rubles. By the end of 2015, 25 million wallets were registered in the system, about 12 thousand new ones are created every day.
