NeoPhotonics has been operating since 1996 and is one of the largest developers of optoelectronic modules and subsystems in the world. Modules are used for high-speed data exchange, including the delivery of mobile video in 3G and LTE infrastructures. The company's headquarters is located in San Jose, California, production facilities are located in the USA, Japan and China, and since December 11, 2015 - in Russia, in the Technopolis "Moscow".
NeoPhotonics invests up to 30 million US dollars in the Russian division.
Ask questions: we will contact the company representatives and prepare answers to them.')

The photonic integrated circuit (FIS) contains a multitude of optically coupled components on a single substrate, jointly performing the functions of processing optical signals. The production of such circuits is similar to the production technology of conventional integrated circuits - photolithography is used for marking. Components on an FIS may include amplifiers, waveguide interconnects, filters, lasers, detectors, optical modulators, and power splitters.
At the first stage of the
NeoPhotonics launch of production in Russia in the clean rooms of the Moscow Technopolis, splitters began to be made - passive network equipment for dividing the optical signal. This equipment is now fully purchased abroad. The range of finished products will be further expanded. One of the first buyers of NeoPhotonics products, released in Moscow, could be Rostelecom.
By the end of the year, all agreements will be concluded in order for Russian production to gain access to the technological platform - to 60 NeoPhotonics patents and to the know-how - the company's knowledge base necessary for the implementation of all technological processes.
Since 2012, NeoPhotonics is a
portfolio company of Rosnano, the volume of the fund's investments amounted to 2.09 billion rubles. Arkady Dvorkovich and Anatoly Chubais took part in the opening ceremony.
In total, NeoPhotonics employs 2500 people worldwide. In the Russian subdivision, 45 people will work, ten of them in the R & D subdivision, and 30 directly on the production. At the opening of the clean room, we were able to communicate with employees working in the manufacturing sector. The average age of employees is 23-25 years, all of them have a higher technical education.
