Facebook is testing a professional version of its social network — a competitor to
LinkedIn and
Monster Worldwide in the global business online communication market. According to IDC, this market was previously valued at $ 6 billion. To date, more than 300 companies have registered in the new network.
Facebook Inc. plans to launch in 2016 a project called Facebook at Work.
In terms of appearance and capabilities, the “working” Facebook will be almost identical to the usual one, the user will have access to the news feed, he will be able to put “likes” under other people's posts, create individual and group chats for communication with subordinates and colleagues, organize groups for joint projects, send mass invitations to corporate events, exchange important information, documents, and establish partner contacts.
"I would say that 95% of what we created for Facebook will be available on Facebook at work,"
said Julien Codornier, director of Facebook's global partner program,
told Reuters.

In the "working" Facebook will be new exclusive services for access to which the company plans to charge users a fee. According to Codornier, the fee for access to analytical and user support services will be "a few dollars a month."
Special attention in the professional version of Facebook will be paid to security. “Work” accounts are completely isolated from personal Facebook accounts, so even when running both versions of the program on one computer, tablet or smartphone, communication will be completely independent, which will prevent leakage of important corporate information.
Beta testing of “Facebook at work” started in early 2015. During this time, members of the brewing giant Heineken, Royal Bank of Scotland, the jewelry company Stella and Dot, and other companies started accounts in it.
At the end of the third quarter of 2015, the average monthly number of active Facebook users rose to 1.55 billion. The number of users using Facebook daily in September increased by 17% and already exceeds 1 billion (1.01 billion); previously, this figure was only 968 million,
