TechCrunch selected the best startup of the year at the Disrupt Europe 2015 event

The Jukedeck project was recognized as the winner of the Startup Battlefield start-up competition during the traditional event Disrupt Europe 2015, which was traditionally organized by the authoritative online publication TechCrunch. The service offers users a unique technology for creating soundtracks for recorded videos based on the specified parameters (tempo, mood, style, etc.).

This year, 15 companies from Europe and other continents of the world competed for the title of the best startup of the year. At stake was a victory in the prestigious Startup Battlefield competition, a cash prize to the winner of 30 thousand pounds and a welcome cup from the well-known Internet resource Disrupt Cup.

After actively discussing the projects and reviewing the jury's estimates, the editors of TechCrunch shortened the list to 4 startups. Thus, along with the future winner of Jukedeck, a trio of interesting projects made their way to the finals: a platform for freelancers Lystable, an instant delivery service for major African cities MAX and a platform for managing products called Yoobic for retail stores.

Note that the jury consisted of very famous personalities from the world of the Internet industry: Eileen Burbidge from Passion Capital, Suranga Chandratillake from Balderton Capital, Alex Depledge from Hassle, Fred Destin (Fred Destin) from Accel Partners, Cristina Fonseca (Cristina Fonseca) from Talkdesk, and also the chief editor of the TechCrunch project Matthew Panzarino.

So, the winner in a fierce fight at the London event of Disrupt Europe 2015 was the start-up Jukedeck, which allows users to create unique soundtracks for video footage and podkasatam, without having any musical talent. In order to obtain a suitable audio recording, it is enough to select the desired tempo, mood, musical style, and also indicate the duration of the composition. The technology, created by two business partners, Ed Rex and Patrick Stobbs, can generate a soundtrack based on the data entered.

It is curious that for the composition created there is no need to pay any royalties, except for the actual price for each audio file - $ 7 (it is planned to charge $ 15 for legal entities). Moreover, 5 soundtracks per month can be recorded and received absolutely free. Note also that for $ 150, the creators of the service offer the possibility of obtaining exclusive rights to the generated track.
