Instagram advertising in Runet blooms and smells



Instagram after other social networks enters the advertising market of Runet. The first (and currently the only) seller of advertising on Instagram was AiTarget, placing 10 thousand advertising posts. According to the seller, already at the beginning of the next year it is planned to drastically increase the number of network users viewing ads.

Sales of advertising on the Instagram site in Russia began on September 30 of this year. Advertisers were asked to post photos and slideshows, as well as videos of no more than 30 seconds. According to statistics from AiTarget (the only seller of advertising on Facebook and Instagram in Russia), for the first month of sales in the vastness of Russian Instagram 10,000 advertising posts were placed, which brought the company about 120 thousand dollars.

Amy Cole, the head of the Instagram brand in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, was divided into the following information: “The first advertisers on the Instagram platform in Russia were Yandex.Taxi, Beeline, L`Oreal, Samsung, Nestle and Lamoda”. Based on the statistics of AiTarget, half of all ads fell on large business, and the other half was shared by advertisers of medium and small business.

Initially, advertising was seen by about 10% of network users in Russia, which is about 2 million people. However, since October 23, the daily reach of the audience has doubled, reaching 20% ​​of users. However, according to AiTarget, it is likely that in the first quarter of 2016, the entire Instagram audience "will become available for targeting."

Currently, AiTarget is the only official reseller of advertising on Instagram, although at the end of September the Russian advertising giant IMHO Vi announced its plans to sell advertising content on Instagram. However, according to representatives of IMHO Vi, the company has not yet begun its activities in the social network.
