"Yandex" negotiates with manufacturers of mobile devices to preset their services

Immediately after the decision of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the case of Google, representatives of the company “Yandex” began to negotiate with the manufacturers of mobile devices about the pre-installation of their applications, writes Adindex. The decision on the violation by Google of the Law on Protection of Competition by the Federal Antimonopoly Service was issued in September, ordering to eliminate all the violations found before November 18 . The main violation is the prohibition by Google of manufacturers of gadgets to pre-install applications of other companies on mobile devices. The case itself was initiated after the appeal of “Yandex” to the FAS.

“We began negotiations immediately after the FAS decision. We have been in contact with them before, but in a sense we had “hands tied,” said Alexander Shulgin, general director of Yandex.

“We see a great interest on their part in doing business with Yandex and the pre-installation of Yandex applications, but they are a little wary of waiting for a response from Google. They understand that Google could appeal. I expect that we will be able to say something concrete about possible transactions during the next telephone conference (following the results of the fourth quarter - ed.), ”Added Shulgin.

Recall that Google is not the first time accused of violating antitrust laws. So, now under investigation for the work of Google in Europe. If violations are detected by the corporation, it may face a fine of about $ 6 billion. In the United States, an antitrust investigation is also being conducted against this company.
