Amazon plans to sue more than a thousand of its users. The reason - users who are planning to punish the corporation, leave fake, paid comments to the products of some sellers. The latter are trying to improve their own reputation and attract additional buyers of their products, and they do it with the help of a large number of fake commentators, the BBC writes . Amazon representatives believe that paid comments negatively affect the company's reputation.

The total number of users against whom the Amazon lawsuit was filed, is 1114 people. The company found these users on Fivver.com, where “professional commentators” offered their services to sellers from Amazon, promising to leave a high-quality positive comment for $ 5.

Amazon also claims that the lawsuit against Fivver itself will not be filed, since the administration of the resource helped to find violators. In addition, Amazon representatives call their lawsuit a warning, because not so many paid comments were left. Nevertheless, those reviews that users posted could negatively affect Amazon’s reputation.
