True, how likely this development is is unclear. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Education and Science is already preparing a regulatory framework that allows equating the passage of online courses to full-time education, Izvestia writes . Students who have completed distance education will then be able to present their results in a regular educational institution, and this institution will have to accept these results.

Now many world-class universities are already using online learning technologies, trying to integrate distance learning into the educational process. According to representatives of the Ministry of Education, this approach allows an educational institution, for example, a university, to be competitive.

Not so long ago, the 5-100 project started in the Russian Federation, according to which five Russian universities should be on the list of one hundred best universities in the world by 2020. Some world-class universities already accept the results of online education of their students or applicants. In an effort to meet the global level, representatives of the Supervisory Board of the Internet Development Institute (IRI) have developed a package of proposals for the development of the Network in Russia. In the accompanying documents, it was noted that over time a significant part of the training will be held remotely. “It will be necessary to develop legislation in the field of recognition of remote passing of examinations and qualification works, change of educational programs at all levels,” the IRI documents say.

“If a student successfully passes the exam as part of the course, he will be provided with documentary evidence of the learning outcomes - a certificate. And now we are preparing the necessary regulatory framework that will allow any Russian university to take into account this certificate, including it as an assessment of the development of the relevant subject. We emphasize that online education is primarily intended to complement and expand the classical training format, but not to completely replace it, ”the Ministry of Education reports.

One of the stages of development of the online education program in the Russian Federation was the opening of the National Open Education Platform in September as part of the international conference EdCrunch. Currently, the platform has already launched 46 training courses from the National Research Technological University MISiS, Moscow State University. Mv Lomonosov St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, National Research University Higher School of Economics, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University), Ural Federal University named after the first president of Russia B.N. Yeltsin and the St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics. All online courses presented on the site are free.
