Conde Nast Publishes Pitchfork Music Site and Magazine

Conde Nast, which owns Ars Technica, Wired, GQ and a number of other print and online publications, added the Pitchfork Review website and music magazine to its portfolio by purchasing Pitchfork Media.

Conde Nast was founded in 1909, today it owns more than twenty print and online publications, including Vogue, Allure, Glamor, The New Yorker, Wired, Ars Technica. Conde Nast publications are devoted to golf, food, travel, culture, lifestyle, home, weddings. With the purchase of Pitchfork Review , publisher has added music to these topics.



Electronic magazine Pitchfork is devoted to music criticism, news and interviews with performers. The publication covers all musical genres from pop music to heavy metal and indie. The magazine has been operating since 1996; in 2012, the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences recognized the Pitchfork Review as the best music site.
