You yourself are pirates!

That is, on occasion, can now say everyone to the address of a major game developer - the French company Ubisoft. In fact, the respected studio was convicted of double piracy. The fact is that this month Ubisoft released an official patch for the very popular shooter Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. The supplement contains a lot of goodies, so fans of the game immediately rushed to download it. But their joy was overshadowed by one small flaw. Verifying the authenticity of the copy of the game, quietly included in the patch, began to demand to show her the disc with the original version of Vegas 2. But given the fact that Ubisoft has been successfully selling games for a long time, giving you the opportunity to download them directly from your site, many quite honest users there were natural problems.

A wave of discontent rolled onto support forums, and the effect was not long in coming. Unknown until an employee of the company in the main branch of the discussion of the problem laid out for download fix, replacing the executable file of the game and canceling authentication. And everyone would be happy if the meticulous Internet users did not find out that the fix is nothing but a part of the pirated NoDVD release from the Reloaded group.

At the moment, the company refuses to comment on who and why solved the problem with the patch in this original way, instead of at least starting to distribute the original, unprotected .exe file of the game.
