TechCrunch writes about a drug popular in Silicon Valley among entrepreneurs that allows you to stay awake for a long time and work effectively. The Ministry of Defense tested it on helicopter pilots and they could not sleep for 88 hours.
In Founders At Work, Max Levchin from PayPal says that before signing an agreement with their first venture capital investor for 4 million dollars. the system did not work for them (as usual), so he didn’t sleep at all for 5 (!) days, everything was fixed. And after signing the agreement (in the cafe, Bucks) fell face in an omelet and overslept before closing.
At the same time, it is a very big mistake to assume that all these people are driving money forward. They are driven forward by ambition, stubbornness, perseverance, a desire to prove, but not money.
