The head of Sberbank, German Gref, said that he has a cryptocurrency, Bitcoins. True, the financier failed to earn on cryptocurrency, since, as Gref reported, she significantly devalued - more than the ruble. “Unfortunately, all currencies are subject to the same diseases,” said the banker.

German Gref is opposed to prohibiting the circulation of cryptocurrency in Russia. He made the corresponding comment at the Kazan Forum of Innovative Financial Technologies.

The forum was attended by the head of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina. The head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation said that the regulator is carefully studying the use of cryptocurrency. But now there are noticeable risks of suspicious operations. “I would like to clarify - we do not prohibit cryptotechnologies, we study them. Still, this is a big difference - cryptocurrency and cryptotechnology, ”said Nabiullina.
