writes . The decision on the fine was made after consideration of a complaint from a social network user, who drew the attention of the ministry to the fact that advertising for poker games and a famous musical was posted without indicating the age category.
According to representatives of the FAS, "like any other advertising, advertising on VKontakte must comply with the requirements of the law." “Social networks are not an exception to the rule, but because of the large number of users, they are still under scrutiny by citizens,” said Irina Gudkova, deputy head of the Moscow office of FAS Russia.
As for the law “On Advertising”, it does not allow the placement of advertisements of a certain kind, which are subject to qualifications under the requirements of the federal law “On the protection of children from information harmful to their health and development”, without specifying a category.
