AliExpress launches delivery in 15 days: “from a warehouse in China to the customer's door in Russia”
The Chinese retailer AliExpress has a new partner in Russia. The company has entered into an agreement with the operator of express delivery IML. Strictly speaking, a contract is concluded between IML and eTotal Solutions. The latter is a logistics aggregator and is part of the Alibaba Group holding. The buyer will be able to receive the goods from AliExpress via courier, as well as at the points of issue of IML and the company's partners.
In July 2015, IML conducted a set of works on the integration with the logistics platform Logistics-Pro , which connects logistics service providers and AliExpress vendors. The platform provides the ability to use the services of logisticians, manage information about products, orders, transactions and payments, manage their own delivery and storage services. In the first half of 2015, to ensure stable and uninterrupted operation of delivery services, all processes in the company were fully automated, and IML couriers received the latest payment terminals and tablet computers.
IML has been providing online stores with services for the delivery of their products since 2007. According to the company, in 2009 IML was the first to offer a delivery service from Moscow to St. Petersburg in one day. In 2010, this option became available also for Nizhny Novgorod and a number of cities in Central Russia. IML delivers throughout the territory of Russia and has 200 pickup points.

“The results of the pilot launch of the service confirm the reality of the period of fifteen days for delivery from a warehouse in China to the customer's door in Russia. Today IML guarantees delivery of goods within 4-10 days from the time the cargo arrives at one of the Russian airports. The company plans to further develop its own logistics infrastructure and storage capacity, ”IML representative Dmitry Klyuchnikov told CNews.
The main channel for the delivery of goods from AliExpress to our country remains the Russian Post. The retailer cooperates with the CPCR delivery service. SPSR company told CNews that they are satisfied with the cooperation with AliExpress: so far, in addition to the issuing center, SPSR can deliver goods from AliExpress via courier or via the PickPoint post office network.
