Google launched the Android Pay payment system

The official blog Google announces the launch of the US payment system Android Pay. From a technical point of view, you can take advantage of the new product using a smartphone with KitKat 4.4 or newer, which also supports NFC. A special app should appear during this week. It will support American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa payment cards, and it will be possible to pay with Android Pay at more than one million American outlets.

It is impossible not to notice that with Google payment applications there may be confusion. Google Play already has a Google Wallet released a few years ago. This very “old wallet” will be updated in the near future before Android Pay as part of the launch of the payment system. However, the Google Wallet brand is not going anywhere: the app store has a new Google Wallet (new) . which will continue to be supported by the search giant and will be designed to send money to users' accounts using a smartphone. To do this, the application will need to be tied to your bank account, and to pay with its help in the Android Pay terminals will not succeed.

The Android Pay application interface looks like this:

About a month ago, Samsung announced that its own payment system Samsung Pay is more reliable than its future competitor from the depths of Google. The idea is that a number of new Korean device companies - Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge + and Note 5 - are equipped with MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission) technology. Thanks to this, Samsung devices can generate a dynamically changing magnetic field. In other words, if you bring your smartphone to a regular payment terminal, in which you can pay with cards with magnetic tape, it acts on the reader of the terminal as if a “real” plastic card was actually drawn through it. Thus, Samsung Pay provides additional convenience - with its help it will be possible to pay where there is no NFC terminal yet.
