Apple agreed to transfer personal data of Russian users in the Russian Federation

So, the company has already begun to transfer data from Russian users to the data center of Russia. IXcellerate became a data transfer partner, which also agreed to cooperate with Booking.com online hotel reservation service.

The corporation held the corresponding tender at the end of July. In the IXcellerate data center, the company occupied about 50 racks, with a total DC capacity of 700 racks, Kommersant reports . “For Apple, a contract with IXcellerate is not a formal fulfillment of the personal data law requirement. This is a serious and major contract, ”said a source familiar with the terms of the deal.

Currently, according to the research data of Telecom Exchange and 42Future, by September 1, only 10% of the clients of the largest data centers completed the transfer of data to the territory of Russia.
