Photo: Getty ImagesToday it became known that the Moscow Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) initiated a case on the grounds of violation of the law on advertising in relation to companies such as Google, Mail.ru and OOO Ruscredit. The case was filed after filing a complaint from a citizen on advertising contributions in the Google AdWords and myTarget online systems,

In the case appears advertiser - LLC "Ruskredit" and distributors of advertising - Google and Mail.ru. As it turned out during the consideration of the complaint, “Ruskredit” does not have a license to conduct banking operations.
Therefore, according to clause 7 of Article 7 “On Advertising”, in the absence of permits and licenses from the advertiser for the production or sale of certain goods and services, advertising of such goods and services is prohibited.

The case is scheduled for September 29. Earlier, FAS has already fined Google several times for violating the law “On Advertising”. For example, in January of this year, the Internet company was already found guilty of violating the ban on advertising services for artificial interruption of pregnancy. Last year, in December, a similar fine was imposed on the corporation for gambling advertising.
