Forbes publisher to sell their media in Russia



Media holding Axel Springer is going to withdraw from the Russian market. So, in the near future, part of the holding's assets will be sold to Artcom Media Group owner Alexander Fedotov, RBC reports . In this case, the transaction is already in the final stage. Fedotov will sell about 80% of Axel Spronger Russia. Another 20% can get the current CEO Regina von Flemming. All negotiations on the sale of Russian assets were conducted on behalf of Regina von Flemming.

It is worth noting that in addition to Alexander Fedotov, the request for the acquisition of Azel Springer assets in Russia was submitted by businessman Grigory Berezkin, who owns the UST group and is the publisher of the Metro newspaper in Moscow. The newspaper Kommersant indicated as one candidate for the assets of Ruben Vardyanian, partner of the company Vardyanian, Broitman and partners.

Now the Axel Springer Russia ID manages the magazines Forbes, OK !, GEO, GEO Traveler, GEOlenok, Gala Biography, Finanz.ru. Almost all of these media have a large audience. Thus, the average audience of a single issue of Forbes in March-July 2015 was about 1.5 million people. Geo - 1.25 million, OK! - 585 thousand people. The total audience of Forbes.ru over the week was about 3 million people, Finanz.ru - 0.5 million, Geo.ru - 0.3 million (TNS, all of Russia, from 12 to 64 years old).

At the end of 2014, the revenue of Axel Springer Russia CJSC reached 872 million rubles, the net loss was 155 million rubles. Global media holding's revenue last year amounted to about 3 billion euros, with a net profit of 251 million euros.
