MaksimaTelecom launches free Wi-Fi with “seamless authorization” and no ads in the Moscow metro

The Moscow metro finally settled free Wi-Fi with "seamless" authorization. More precisely, it works so far in test mode on the platforms of the Vystavochnaya, Business Center, Dmitry Donskoy Boulevard, Starokachalovskaya Street stations, the city news agency of Moscow reports.

“At present, we have launched a pilot project - it is working, you can use the same Wi-Fi on two large transfer hubs,” confirmed Boris Volpe, CEO of Maxima Telecom .

Now residents of Moscow have a hope that they will no longer have to view annoying ads before connecting to the network. “Seamless” authorization assumes that when transferring from one branch to another or when moving to another car, passengers will not need to re-authorize and watch “horror stories” about acne and dandruff remedies.

MaksimaTelecom plans to continue the victorious march of free Wi-Fi on new sections of the Moscow metro: from Yugo-Zapadnaya station to Troparevo station, from Lermontovsky Prospekt station to Zhulebino and from Zhulebino station to " Kotelniki.

“The connection of the Starokachalovskaya section - Lesoparkovaya is scheduled for the end of November, and the Lesoparkovaya section - Bittsevsky Park - in the middle of December,” adds Volpe.

Earlier, MaximaTelecom launched a Wi-Fi portal for smartphone users in the Moscow metro. To date, the portal is visited by more than 50% of mobile users of the capital. According to TNS, it is in the TOP-5 of Moscow’s mobile resources.

“In June of this year, we launched a new version of the portal for smartphones, after which we started developing a new portal for tablet computers. More and more people make the portal their start page. We do this so that the portal leaves the subway and becomes a full-fledged resource, ”Volpe told the city news agency of Moscow.

According to Boris Volpe, about 10% of users connect from tablets to the Wi-Fi network in the metro. The average time spent by users on the portal is 5 minutes, and 20% of users spend on the portal from 10 to 30 minutes.

The Wi-Fi network earned in all metro lines in early December 2014.

“Together with the Moscow Metro and Moscow 24, we experienced and on the City Day we will show a wagon equipped with television.
