On Android-smartphones that MTS sells, the Google App will be pre-installed on the main screen. In addition, the operator will promote the voice search "Okay, Google" in their advertising campaigns, retail stores.
Partners will receive revenue from search services based on revenue-sharing model. In addition, MTS will share with Google the costs of promoting the mobile Internet. “In the future, such an approach to working with OTT services will be one of the drivers for the growth of operator revenues. In addition, Internet players are beginning to indirectly invest in the development of networks, which guarantees high-quality operation of applications and intelligent services, ” said MTS Press Secretary Dmitry Solodovnikov to RIA Novosti.
He also said that the partners are now working on a project, which has not yet had analogues in Russia: in MTS communication shops, buyers will be able to learn how to use Google applications. Training will be done by specially trained staff.
