MTS and
Google entered into an agreement. MTS will distribute the company's search services in the Russian market. Partners will receive
revenue from search services based on
revenue-sharing model. In addition, MTS will share with Google the costs of promoting the mobile Internet. “In the future, such an approach to working with
OTT services will be one of the drivers for the growth of operator revenues. In addition, Internet players are beginning to indirectly invest in the development of networks, which guarantees high-quality operation of applications and intelligent services, ”

He also said that the partners are now working on a project, which has not yet had analogues in Russia: in MTS communication shops, buyers will be able to learn how to use Google applications. Training will be done by specially trained staff.

In Russia, the share of the Google
Android operating system accounts for about 70% of smartphones. The Google App allows you not only to search for data on the Internet, but also to fully manage your smartphone, work with maps, make calls or send messages, monitor your health, and be aware of the latest news.
“Due to these measures and strategic marketing cooperation, we count not only on the growth of smartphone penetration in the operator’s base, but also on the fact that there will be more mobile Internet users among subscribers with smartphones. Now about 30% of users do not use Internet services in their gadgets, because they simply do not understand the nuances of technology and applications, ”explained Solodovnikov.
Since 2012, MTS has been cooperating with Google to promote applications on branded smartphones, and in 2013, expanded cooperation in the development of solutions for the corporate market: the operator offered its B2B clients in the Russian Federation a Google Apps for Business project - a set of cloud solutions that includes adapted for business users of the application, according to a
press release from MTS.
