Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes to lift the ban on the sale of alcohol through the Internet

The idea to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages over the Internet was supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The corresponding notice on the preparation of a government resolution has already been published on the Single Information Disclosure Portal, writes Slon. Unfortunately, the text of the draft resolution does not yet exist, but the accompanying documentation states that lifting the ban may have a positive impact on the online segment of food trade.

The Office notes in the Russian Federation "there is a significant unsatisfied consumer demand for the sale of alcoholic products by remote means."

Recall that on August 18, a petition on the legalization of the sale of alcohol via the Internet was submitted by the association of entrepreneurs Opora Rossii. The Association proposed to license this type of activity, and at the same time strengthen the responsibility for selling alcohol through the Internet without a license.
