Analysts
of Yandex.Market have reported an increase in prices for household appliances due to changes in demand and the US dollar exchange rate. In 2014, the fall of the ruble to 67.7 per dollar caused a shopping rush, and in August 2015, the return rate to this point did not cause an increase in demand for appliances and electronics. The company believes that the buyers either have no free funds, or they are not ready to invest them in goods.
From the first week of June to the third week of August, the dollar rose by 20%; during this time, popular refrigerators went up by 7%, washing machines β by 9%, televisions β by 4%. Prices for laptops after December 2014, despite the strengthening of the ruble, remained virtually unchanged, so they did not change with the appreciation of the dollar. Almost in all categories, prices are lower than in December, notes Yandex.Market.
In early 2015, digital cameras fell in price, but returned to the level of December last year - they became more expensive by 20%.
