No laughing matter: Google, Yandex cache and Internet Explorer were added to the federal list of extremist materials.

A federal list of extremist materials has been added to the website of the Ministry of Justice. It has 12 new items. By the decision of the Svetloyarsky District Court of the Volgograd Region, the audio lecture “Basics of the Partisan Movement” was recognized as extremist. The court decision was made on June 6, 2015.

Paragraph 2975 lists “Internet Archive, hghltd.yandex.net (Internet bank), Internet Explorer, https // www.google.ru”, and then several direct addresses (including a copy of the page in the Yandex cache). Allegedly on some of these sites posted named audio.

By Internet Archive, it seems, is meant the Internet Archive, preserving copies of any sites; The address hghltd.yandex.net is part of the link to the Yandex cache; the phrase “Internet Bank” to “Yandex” is irrelevant and its meaning is unclear; Internet Explorer is not a website, but a browser, an application through which you can open any website on the Internet; google.ru address refers to the Russian version of Google search engine through which you can search for any content, writes "Medusa".

In paragraph 2980, the names of applications for Android are also recognized as extremist: “Odnoklassniki_203-1.apk”, “Clash of Clans”, “whatsapp.apk”, “Kaspersky_antivirus”. However, their description and the reasons for listing on extremist materials are not given.

What sites will close access is not fully understood. Apparently, Google, “Yandex” and “Internet Archive” are simply indicated as “initial coordinates”, which led to prohibited materials.

The federal list of extremist materials, published on the website of the Ministry of Justice, includes 2985 points. A considerable number of cases are associated with it, when non-existent sites, erroneous links or objects that are not sites are indicated as prohibited resources.
