writes RBC. Thus, the advertising revenue of the group in April-July of this year increased by 15%, although in January-March the increase was only 3%.
Thus, advertising revenue for April-June has grown almost five times, compared with the previous three months. In the first quarter, the group's advertising revenues increased by 3.4%, to 3 billion rubles. In the second quarter, the company's revenues grew by 3.4 billion rubles. In the first half of the year, revenue growth was 9.3%, that is, 6.4 billion rubles.
Note that since last year the company has not disclosed its contextual advertising revenues, showing the total income in all areas. Nevertheless, the company's general director, Dmitry Pashin, said that advertising revenue had begun to stabilize. In particular, the growth of targeted advertising, especially of the mobile segment, was noticed. Advertising revenues from the social network Vkontakte are also growing. “The growth rate of [advertising revenues] has begun to accelerate,” said the general director of Mail.Ru Group.

In the second quarter, the group outpaced both Yandex and the entire domestic online advertising market in terms of growth in advertising revenue.
As for Yandex, the situation is somewhat different - advertising revenues in the first and second quarters are growing steadily: by 13%, to 12 billion rubles in January-March and to 13.6 billion rubles in April-June .
According to experts of the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia (ACAR), the expenses of domestic companies on advertising on the Web increased by 9% to 18.1 billion rubles in the first quarter. In the second - by 10-12% to 23.5-23.9 billion rubles. Interestingly, banner advertising shows a negative trend - domestic companies spend less and less on the purchase of this type of advertising materials.
