Before the start of the Summer Olympics, Apple today opens the door to its first retail store in China. It will be a high-class glass-fronted store in Beijing’s new Sanlitun shopping district, in the same-name shopping center.

Allen himself says that the Sanlitun complex, where the store will be located, “is practically not visible from the street,” since it is located in the courtyard. From the store goes a wide transition that connects the point with the rest of the center. The outer side of the transition is sheathed in steel and decorated in the middle with an illuminated Apple logo.

Inside, buyers will find ordinary Mac and iPod product lines, as well as a Genius Bar with technical support specialists. Be that as it may, they will not see the iPhone here, since Apple’s negotiations with Chinese mobile operators are not even at a crucial stage.
