This is not true - that people are unmotivated and they do not care. The truth is, it is not their responsibility.

Your only desire to make it a team problem is not enough.

One of the main objectives of management is to streamline processes and prevent risks. How and where the dates are moving is the responsibility of the manager, who will go where on vacation and when is the responsibility of the manager. The fact that an employee of a child has a birthday in the release and he did not appear is the responsibility of the manager.

First of all, when you took the position of manager, you need to understand the processes and the risks involved.

The main goal is to make processes executable with greater efficiency.

For this, it is enough to make the processes more transparent and close the responsibility for this or that node on a specific role / artist.

Finishing the idea, I want to insist that the first discovery of a manager is not the realization of the fact that everyone does not care about what is happening, but that the manager is the key figure who is responsible for everything (and people know it).

Deal with it and begin to act, preventing problems by assigning them responsibility and not relying on collective decisions at the level of motivation.
