Mail.ru is the first domestic game developer to use anti-piracy law to protect its game. Lawyers of the company went to court, demanding that razdor.net stop the illegal distribution of the game Legend: Legacy of Dragons. A subsidiary division of the company, Mail.Ru Games,
wrote to the Moscow City Court, RBC
reports . This is currently the first appeal to the court with reference to the anti-piracy law.
The Moscow City Court already on August 10 adopted the so-called “preliminary provisional measures” regarding the respondent site. The controversial content within the framework of the measures taken must be blocked for 15 days, and during this period the right holder may either file a lawsuit on the merits or refuse claims. If a substantive lawsuit is filed, and the court will take the side of the claimant, the offender site may be blocked completely.
“The court satisfied our application for taking interim measures and ordered to stop the distribution and other use of the game on this resource,” Mail.Ru Group reported.

Recall that the anti-piracy law has been expanded since May 1, 2015, after making the appropriate amendments. Now the law applies not only to movies or TV shows, but also to other types of content, including books, music and software. Only photos are not subject to the law.
