Before making any decision, try to get the most relevant information. The decision taken on incomplete or incorrect information is likely to be bad.
It is incredibly easy to hit a person because of some misstep, it's almost as easy as clicking a switch. Resist as much as you can. Previously, you also made mistakes and made the wrong decisions, but it allowed you to grow and become who you are. Do not deprive your employees of this opportunity.
