By September, eBay will launch a platform for Russian online and offline retailers
From September 2015, eBay will allow any Russian retailer to upload their goods. Previously, those few shops that were able to integrate with the online platform through the API had the opportunity.
“Now we have completed the development of the platform - I hope we will roll it out before the end of the summer. It doesn’t matter that you have a website or an offline store, you can upload goods on eBay and start trading, ”explains Vladimir Dolgov, general director of the company's Russian office.
According to Dolgov, about 100 Russian stores are already connected to eBay: 25 major retailers and users of the service for creating Ecwid sites. ')
Small online stores are actively applying to connect to eBay. The number of applications has already exceeded 10 thousand. Some stores will have access to the beta version of the platform during the month - from August 10 to September 3. At this time, workshops will be held on the territory of the Strelka Institute. The company plans to hold two meetings - “Life hacks from eBay employees. How to buy on eBay ”on August 20 and“ How to start selling on eBay and build a successful business ”on August 26, reports The Village.
Dolgov also said that by the end of this year, retail exports from Russia would be possible. Potentially, foreigners may be interested in buying souvenir products or delicacies in the Russian online stores, Interfax reports.
